Saul Almonte (@iamsaulalmonte) is the Founder and Creative Director of his own fashion label; A L M O N T É, which is committed to shaping the future of fashion through the juxtaposition of “STREET” & “LUXURY”. At only 21, the South Bronx native, had already made strides in his career as founder, creative director, and personal stylist.

During his Junior year of high school and with the guidance of mentors such as Alice Young and Alice Choi at Bronx Lighthouse College Prep Academy (BLCPA) AKA Pharos Academy Charter School, Saul discovered his passion for fashion. His optimism led him to attend the Julian Krinsky Camps & Programs (JKCP) at Villanova University. There, Saul crafted his first garments, seeking inspiration from fashion icon Oscar De la Renta, who he proudly shares his Dominican heritage with.

Senior year came around and Saul Almonte was awarded the LIVE MAS Scholarship funded by Taco Bell, receiving $1k in grants. Saul was elected to be one of many innovators, creators, and dreamers in the desire to make a difference in the world. There, he met with Sway Calloway, Leigh Anne Tuohy, and China Anne McClain and was promoted on the billboard of the Times Square Yearbook. Subsequently, with the support of friends and family, Saul was able to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology’s (FIT) Summer Live program.

Shortly before enrolling as a full-time undergraduate student at SUNY New Paltz, he came across several opportunities in styling musical artists such as, BB Nobre, and Blenfre. These collaborations immediately brought about additional opportunities in styling other artists such as Rochy RD, and Jaudy.

Just a freshman at SUNY New Paltz, Saul made his debut at the highly anticipated fashion show curated by Envied Fashions XIV where he showcased the A L M O N T É men’s f/w 2016-2017 “Wool” collection. Since, he has been showcasing his work amongst several colleges/institutions across New York. In 2019, Saul showed during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) for the first time.

Post graduation, Saul finds himself with a new more profound sense of obligation/purpose to life, A L M O N T É, and partnerships. He expects to continue pursuing his dreams while making the world a better place, one creation at a time.
